Meet Our Guidance Counselor

I’m honored to be the school counselor of Harbison West Elementary School. I’m originally from Athens, GA (Go DAWGS!!), but I have lived throughout the southeast U.S. I moved to South Carolina 10 years ago and I’ve been at Harbison West for 7 years. I share my life with my husband, 2 daughters, dog and my HWES family. I am passionate about supporting students and families and helping our students to reach their full potential.

Meet Our School Psychologist

I am originally from Michigan and attended graduate school in Tennessee. I have lived in South Carolina since 2005. As a school psychologist, my passions include early intervention for preschool children and brainstorming intervention strategies for students who are having academic or behavioral challenges. When not working, you can find me spending time with my family, playing with my dogs, reading, cooking/baking or crafting.

Meet Our Social Worker

As a School Social Worker, it is my job to help families meet their needs at home so our students can thrive here at school. I am thrilled to continue my work with the Harbison West community during my third year with Lexington Richland School District Five. In addition to serving Harbison West, I am also the School Social Worker for Lake Murray Elementary School. I received both a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina and received my license (LMSW) in 2020. When I’m not at school or in the community, you can usually find me outside or at the gym. I am an avid runner and hiker and love exploring the great outdoors with my husband, David.
